Illscape Studio does not operate single services; instead, we take a holistic approach to managing Artists as a Personal Exclusive Artist Management (EAMC).

First and foremost, your career in music is a business. There are many components to operating a music business which is why exclusivity is important so that the one representing manager knows exactly what is happening with your business instead of guessing what tasks the other managers are completing – or what they are not completing in a timely manner; it’s not about control – it’s easier to have one manager than juggle many managers with a non-exclusive contract. An exclusive contract streamlines one point-of-accessible contact for every industry professional and stakeholder involved.

Managing has many synergistic systems (IBM), and single services do not meet the Artist’s goals of getting to the next level of the musical career.

Managers are hired upon the agreement to handle specific affairs and duties, continuously looking out for the Artist’s best interest. The contract enforces specific rules, regulations, and terms. This helps maintain the professional working relationship and protects the interests of everyone involved.

Illscape Studios is a multi-faceted management service for artists that includes:

  • Operations – Illscape Studios is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Artist’s Music Business strategy, ensuring that all aspects are running smoothly and staying on course.

  • Strategic Planning – Illscape Studios is responsible for forecasting and planning shows and events, during the full term of this agreement, with calendars and Gantt chart, which help determine start-up projections, profits and losses, effectiveness of marketing and branding, merchandise inventory. This due-diligence greatly reduces operating expenses, lessons surprise costs, improves end-user’s satisfaction, enhances Artist’s value, reduces wasted labor, and ensures productivity and well-being. Strategy keeps the music business ecosystem sustainable as these plans are developed first, keeping the growth of the Artist on track.

  • Human Resource – Illscape Studios is responsible for collaborating with Artist’s Repertoire, ensuring high-quality content that the Artist can grow when music is published, and acting as a liaison between artists and record labels or publishing companies. Illscape Studios is responsible for handling agreements and contracts with venues, outsourced booking agents, and record labels or publishing companies. Illscape Studios can publish singles/EPs/albums through Distrokid and does require a separate Music Production Agreement.

  •  Marketing and Branding – The heart of any brand is in its marketing effort. The revenue or customer enhancement efforts of the Artist are largely dependent on how successful its marketing or advertising campaigns are. Therefore, the effective marketing management Illscape Studios is responsible for is the key to the Artist’s brand reputation in the global market. The team Illscape Studios provides helps the Artist withstand competition in the music industry. Both branding and marketing work in sync with one another. They are both important to the success of your musical career. Branding includes color schemes, professional photos/videos, fashion/stage attire, and logos. Marketing includes public relations, copywriting, website, social media pages, sales, EPK, and advertising.

  • Research and Development – Illscape Studios is responsible for making sure Artist’s career meets customer needs through testing, surveying, and adapting needs to capture audience’s attention. This will be completed by researching venues, as well as researching the latest technology and implementing these adaptations.

  • Financial and Legal – Illscape Studios is responsible for making sure Artist and all stakeholders are safe and well-documented, following the governing laws of the music industry.

Illscape Studios provides tour managers, booking agents, recording, and music production as part of the Integrative Business Model, ensuring utmost organization for maximum productivity.

Artist is required to obtain an LLC, musician’s insurance, liablity insurance, and business bank account. Illscape Studios LLC works in direct contect with Redeem Serivces LLC, who provides Artist Business Management: https://redeemservicesllc.com/

Artist is required to obtain a signed Band Agreement and file with manager before first show or event. Illscape Studios can help provide a Band Agreement. Being a musician is a business and an effective Band Agreement is an important element of organizing your business, protecting all band members and stakeholders during times of conflict, where such outlined solutions are needed for security.

Manager’s commission will start four months after agreement is signed. During these four months, the manager is working for a future Return on Investment (ROI) and is responsible for positioning Artist for optimal earnings. Manager shall receive 15-35% of Artist’s gross monthly earnings, depending on artist needs.

When signing with Illscape Studios, the manager will take care of certain responsibilities and take actions on the Artist’s behalf. This includes signing paperwork, booking appearances, making press statements, and more. Artists should specify and look out for anything specific they do or do not want the manager doing on their behalf. We make sure that artists sign a power of attorney as that will grant us the ability to sign documents or paperwork, giving us the ability to make executive decisions when you are unavailable.

Artist shall execute a short form power of attorney which Manager shall be entitled to file in any jurisdiction. It is expressly understood that the foregoing power of attorney is limited to matters reasonably related to Artist’s career as a musician, actor, recording and performing artist and such new and different areas within which their artistic talents can be developed and applied.

The initial term of their contract shall be for a period of ONE (1) YEAR with a FOUR (4) YEAR annual irrevocable option from the date thereof to renew this Agreement by written notice to Artist no less than SIXTY (60) days prior to the expiration of the initial term or option periods. The Manager reserves the right to terminate this agreement.

The number of artists we manage is few, allowing us to focus solely on making sure everything is in line with your brand, taking you to the next level. The Artist is still the one calling the main shots, but the manager(s) have the rights to the final decision-making process and typically advise the artist on the best choice to make.

Each contract will be unique and individualized to the artist, but a contract will always serve to outline the responsibilities and expectations of both parties, and how they will work together to help build the artist’s career. The contract will detail that the manager has the obligation to work with the artist and help them reach certain goals.

Have you gotten to the point where you can no longer perform and keep up with booking, PR, social posts, strategizing, have a couple of records, and develop your brand and marketing? Now is the time to hire Illscape Studios.

Many artists choose to wait until they have a record deal or have released an album before they decide to hire a professional manager. However, it’s important for artists to understand that while it can be tempting to wait to hire a manager until they have solid opportunities in place, it’s often better to hire a professional early and develop your career from the ground up rather than wait: this is a part of the IBM.

If you are asking yourself if you should hire a manager or not, then the answer is probably yes. If you are concerned about money, just remember that managers don’t make money unless you do. It is their job to put you into positions to make a profit and build up your career in the process.

The success of an artist depends largely upon the way in which they are represented in this business. A great manager who understands how to navigate this industry can do wonders for your career and put you in positions you couldn’t have gotten on your own.
