About Me:

Hailing from Houston, I found my calling in drumming at the tender age of 12. My musical journey is marked by academic accolades and deep-rooted passion. I proudly hold an Associate of Arts degree with honors in General Music from San Jacinto Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance, with a Jazz Concentration, from Texas State University, where I graduated cum laude. My drumming philosophy and technique were profoundly shaped by my mentor, the legendary drummer Butch Miles, known for his work with luminaries such as Count Basie, Dave Brubeck, and Frank Sinatra.

  • Enriched by masterclasses featuring industry greats like John Riley, “Tootie” Heath, Eddie Gomez, and José Aponte, I’ve garnered a diverse and robust musical skill set.
  • Currently, I impart my knowledge and passion for drumming as an educator at Vivaldi Music Academy.
  • Active in the music scene, I engage in various session works, lending my unique drumming style to numerous projects.
